Release | CCM Performers of the Month Announced

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the CCM Hockey Performers of the Month.

Ty Whyte of the Kemptville 73’s is the skater of the month. Dawson Labre from the Smiths Falls Bears is the goalie of the month. Donald Hickey from the Cornwall Colts is the rookie of the month. 

Skater of the Month | Ty Whyte

The 2003 forward born in North Grower, ON has played 15 games this season so far with Kemptville. Earning a total of 28-points (14G, 14A) to help with Kemptville’s record 8-6-1-1 having them in fifth place in the division. Whyte has been named CCM Player of the Week this season as well the number one star for Gongshow Gear for the month of October. 

Goalie of the Month | Dawson Labre

The 2004 goaltender born in Les Cedres, QC has been in net for 14 games this season with a record of 11-1. At the start of the 2023/24 season, Labre had a win streak of nine, with only one loss. Currently Smiths Falls is coming in at number one in the league and Labre has been named CCM Player of the Week this season. 

Rookie of the Month | Donald Hickey

The 2007 goaltender born in O’Donnells, NL is in his first season in the CCHL playing for Cornwall. Hickey currently has a record of 5-1 making the Colts second in the league.
